A LEAP INTO THE FUTURE

What is Photovoltaics?
Photovoltaic is the technology that converts sunlight into electricity. In its simplest form, a photovoltaic system consists of a silicon panel that collects solar radiation and an inverter that converts the collected energy into alternating current (AC), the same current used in household electrical outlets. The more sun a panel receives, the more electricity it can produce. For this reason, panels in photovoltaic fields and on roofs are oriented southward and tilted.
When installing a photovoltaic panel, you must orient it correctly to maximize the benefits.
How do I choose the optimal production capacity?
The optimal generation capacity to install on a home's roof depends on each family's consumption. For residential users, the main benefit of a photovoltaic system is self-consumption, meaning the electricity generated and immediately used instead of that purchased from the distributor. In this case, the savings are equal to 100% of the value of all the electricity that would otherwise have been purchased, simply by running the meter.
When installing a photovoltaic system, it's important to purchase a system that's proportionate to your energy consumption. If it's too small, you'll miss out on significant savings. If it's too large, it will take longer to pay off the investment, making it less cost-effective.
What are the tax incentives for photovoltaics?
Superbonus for condominiums 2026: up to 65%
The 2026 65% Superbonus remains one of the most advantageous tax breaks for condominium residents wishing to install a photovoltaic system with storage. The tax credit allows for recovery of up to 65% of the cost incurred, up to a maximum of €48,000 per property, with a cap of €2,400/kW for installed power (reduced to €1,600/kW for new construction or major renovations).
